A new demo reel has been released.

Our new camera dolly system was completed a few days ago, and used on a shoot for Rush Foundation Hospital.
The dolly cam footage cam out great, as expected, and was sent out for post production to CGI Communications.
The final video will be featured on the websites of Rush Hospital and The City of Meridian. Check back here and we will post the links, once completed.

New Client :: CGI Communications (Rochester, NY)
We will begin filming for various corporate clients through CGI. Details cannot be disclosed at the present time.

After visiting EMBDC's 'Main Event', a business expo for East Mississippi, we have decided to setup a booth for 2008.
With such a great turnout year after year, it is definately an event we look forward to participating in next year.
We can't divulge any design secrets...just look for the *really* cool booth :)

With the new year, comes a new look for us at Optik Studios. A new OS animation is in the works. Coming soon!

The time has come....Optik Studios now has a new image. Some things are best kept the way they are, but when the opportunity arises to give yourself a sleek new look...do it!
The new look will resemble the OS logo of 1998, with cleaner edges and bold blue outlines.
We love it...we're sure you will too! Look for the unveiling in the first quarter of 2007.

Red Hot Summer
Currently working on fire effects for a new JOJT spot....it's hot :) This will be accomplished through the use of hypervoxels, a 3D environmental effect.

Set to document (backstage and on-stage) Absence of Concern, an up-and-coming Jackson, MS band -- opening for South African rock band, Seether.
This will take place at the Mississippi Coliseum, in Jackson.

We are proud and excited to be creating a corporate identity for a new car dealership in Memphis, TN.
After construction of their new building, we will be traveling to Memphis, TN to begin commercial production.

Wow...it is finally complete and it is massive! Our 12ft. dolly / crane has been nearly 5 weeks in the making, but it was well worth it.
We will be loading it up and taking it along for a shoot in Canton, MS. This is a great asset to our productions and we hope to put it to much good use.

We are proud to start on video production of television spots for John O'Neil Johnson Toyota, here in Meridian, MS.
This coincides with us meeting with a new advertising agency, which we hope to forge a lasting partnership with.

A small production is in the mix for Absence of Concern, Meridian's "Battle of the Bands" winner.
With a sponsorship from Peavey, AOC will go on to Biloxi, competing with other bands in an event held by recording artists, 3 Doors Down.

A new production is underway for a horticulture company in Meridian, MS. The storyboards alone make us laugh. This will definately be a fun production.

We get alot of questions about filming weddings. Unfortunately, we dont...but doing a google search for "wedding video production" or visiting sites similar to EventPlanners-Directory should point you in the right direction.

We are giving the website a much needed facelift. For the longest time we have supported both an html and flash version of the site.
After much thinking, the decision has been made to dedicate our time to the flash version, keeping only the html that is needed to power the video section.

We will soon be starting production on two new 30 minute television shows. The Home Shopper Show and
Deals on Wheels. The Home Shopper Show will air on WGBC 30 (Meridian, MS), while Deals on Wheels will air on WTOK 11 (Meridian, MS).
The Home Shopper Show will showcase homes, allowing new home buyers the ability to view detailed video walkthroughs.
Deals on Wheels will showcase automobiles and automotive tips from the Meridian Automotive Group.

Excitement! That is the best way to describe how we are feeling right now. We have been playing with our new Panasonic DVX 100 camera and it is awesome!
This is truly a revolutionary camera, allowing us to produce video at 24 frames per second, progressive, nonetheless.
What does this mean? Cinematic, film-like quality productions. We have been anticipating the release (and moreso our aquisition) of this camera. Indie film fests, here we come!
